What is Hypnobirthing?
Hypnobirthing is a complete antenatal training programme. It is a logical and effective established method that will help you to achieve the best possible birth for you by helping your mind and body work together through simple self-hypnosis, relaxation, visualisations and breathing techniques.

Women are physically designed to give birth and yet they are often told or hear from a very young age that birth is painful and something to be feared. Hypnobirthing will help you to let go of these negative preconceptions, to understand the physiology of birth and provide you with knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about how you want your birth to be.

Hypnobirthing is all about making choices and decisions that feel comfortable and right for you. Though a lot of women and couples come to Hypnobirthing to help them achieve a natural birth, Hypnobirthing is not actually prescriptive about how you give birth. It doesn't offer a miracle solution but it does put you in control of your birthing experience and gives you the tools to navigate the journey calmly and confidently.

""We did a one to one course with Kate and she was fabulous! The course was informative and covered a wide range of topics. Kate was knowledgeable but in no way pushy and always encouraged us follow our instincts and make our own decisions. I was anxious during the pregnancy and the hypnobirthing really helped. We were blessed with a beautiful home birth during which I felt calm and confident thanks to the hypnobirthing preparation.

    For Baby:
Kate worked with me and my husband before the birth of our first son and not only is she a wonderful teacher and human being but what we learnt from her was so essential - I can't believe that this isn't the mainstream approach to antenatal teaching!

Both Kate and Hypnobirthing changed my view point completely and I wouldn't have been anywhere near as confident or calm without them. I went from being scared of birth (assuming I'd have a c section and lots of pain) to feeling in control, empowered and even a little excited about what was about to happen. I understood what my body was capable of and how important it was to have some faith in the human body and brain!

I had a premature, fast and sudden birth and without Kate and hypnobirthing it would have been a very different story!

    Thank you Kate!

Hypnobirthing enabled me to have a worthwhile role both during pregnancy and labour. It not only taught me about the whole pregnancy/birthing process but also introduced me to useful relaxation techniques for life beyond the birth of our child.

My husband and I did a weekend hypno birthing course with Kate. The course was really empowering for my other half who was previously nervous about the idea of a natural birth. Kate gave me the confidence to opt for a home birth, something I really wanted to achieve but had been too put off by other stories. The course left us feeling really well informed about our options and with exercises to work on by ourselves. Happily I had the homebirth I was aiming for and a brilliant experience. Highly highly recommend Kate.
